Grant Funding
December 2025
In 2025, the City of Glens Falls, working with LaBella Associates and members of the Crockwell Partnership board, submitted a Consolidated Funding Application to the State of New York seeking a grant for planning and design of trails and other features at the Crockwell Preserve, including design for renovating and repurposing the historic Tennis and Swim Club clubhouse structure as an environmental education and learning center. The grant was approved in December, 2025, consisting of $150,000 from the State and requiring an additional $150,000 match. After the clubhouse was destroyed in a fire in February, 2026, the City of Glens Falls submitted a revised scope to the State stating that the project will no longer include the adaptive reuse of the clubhouse, but that efforts and funding will be redirected towards broader site planning, ecological restoration, accessibility and public engagement components.
